City of Nashville - Music City
Along the Cumberland River at
Davidson County in Tennessee lies
the state’s capital, the captivating
city of Nashville. Popularly
known as the Music City, it is home
to major music production and
recording companies. It comes in
second to New York as biggest music
production center in the United
States. But that’s not the only
pride of the city. It is also a
major hub for banking, health care,
publishing and transportation
companies.
Over 250 health care companies are
in operation in Nashville, including
the world’s largest private hospital
operator-the Hospital Corporation of
America. Entertainment centers are
also abundant in
this city and they come in
different sizes such as the enormous
LP Field, Sommet Center and the most
recent addition, the Schermerhorn
Symphony Center.
Nashville City is also blessed with
nice and breezy parks such as the
Warner Parks, which serves as venue
to the yearly Iroquois Steeplechase.
The park also features scenic roads,
horse and hiking trails and a
learning center. There are also
parks on Percy Priest Lake and Old
Hickory Lake, which are all managed
by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineer.
Both of these parks are popular for
water activities such as boating,
fishing, sailing and water-skiing.
